The Storm STR-1 and STR-2 are full function, batch type, aqueous (water based) workpart cleaning/degreasing systems with slightly larger capacities and footprint than our standard Storm Cell machines. They are designed to incorporate the best features of the technologically advanced solvent degreasing machines from Europe but without the use of harmful solvents. The STR-1 and STR-2 provide extremely high levels of cleanliness, ease of operation, and brute toughness required by American industry. The addition of full automation to these units allows for the grouping of multiple units into a large integrated washing system, or they can be used as a stand-alone machine for general purpose cleaning and rust prevention.

For ultra-precision cleaning, Storm systems are configurable with optional equipment to meet the tightest cleaning requirements including single digit micron levels with Millipore cleanliness to .02 milligram.

Optional Equipment

• Additional reservoirs can be used as a finial wash, rinse or rust inhibitor. Includes all necessary equipment including pump, valves, piping, filters, and controls.
• Stainless steel cartridge filter assemblies for final stage filtration of the wash and or rinse solutions.
• Custom designed parts carrier and or chamber per customer specifications.
• Ultrasonic push – pull transducers with generators for increased cleaning capability of intricate part configurations through sound wave generation. Peizo-electric crystal transducers provided unparalleled sound wave generation.
• Manual load assist for additional basket support during load/unload process.
• Vacuum assisted drying circuit for improved processing in blind holes or parts containing difficult configurations.
• Heated de-ionized (D.I.) water spray rinse for spot free cleaning and drying on critical path cleaning applications. Includes additional spray bar, D.I. heating reservoir and controls.
• Automatic water make-up for wash and or rinse reservoir.
• Coalescing of wash solution for removing free floating oils.
• Pressure differential switches to indicate dirty filters in both the wash and rinse filtration circuits.
• Complete machine automation system including entrance and exit conveyors, auto loader, all necessary escapements, and full automation enclosure.
