The Storm Cell (STR-C1) precision aqueous cleaning system is a full function, batch type cleaning system with a slightly smaller capacity and footprint than our standard STR-1 system. With available options. With the available options, the Storm Cell provides world-class cleaning in a cost effective package.

Storm Cells are a cost effective, in-process, or stand-alone, workpart cleaning system capable of delivering high cleanliness levels and repeatable results cycle after cycle. Many of our customers report Storm cleaning systems have run for years with a 95% or better uptime record. Storm Cell machines can also be fitted with an additional reservoir for ultra clean finish rinse or applying rust inhibitor solution, a great value added service for your customers.

Standard features:

  • All wetted parts manufactured from 304 stainless steel or non-corrosive inert materials.
  • Stainless steel, sealed process chamber with wash/rinse, turbo-spray bar and hot air drying knife.
  • Standard chamber comes equipped with a manual load (part or basket holding) part carrier.
  • Axially mounted part carrier with programmable part oscillation and/or rotation and auto homing. Custom designed part carriers are available upon request.
  • Stainless steel wash and rinse reservoirs with built in chip collector, access lid, overflow circuit, and an internal weir to help separate free-floating oils. Custom wash, rinse, or rust inhibit reservoirs are also available.
  • Reservoirs come standard with level control and heating elements. Temperature control through the operator interface.
  • High pressure, submerged, impeller style pumps for wash and rinse circuits.
  • Stainless steel bag filter housing for first stage filtration of wash and rinse circuits. Additional filters can be easily added. Continuous filtration is also available for ultra clean solutions as an option.
  • Hot drying circuit features a regenerative blower with hot air knife. An additional heating element is also available.
  • User-friendly, operator interface control includes operator prompts, standard programs for multiple type part cleaning, full machine diagnostics, and password protection to maintain program integrity.
  • System controls conform to JIC standards.
  • Sound enclosure with removable stainless steel panels for easy machine maintenance.

Optional Equipment:

  • Additional reservoir for use as finial wash, rinse, or rust inhibitor. Includes all necessary equipment including pump, valves, piping, filters, and controls.
  • “Cuno” Cartridge filter assembly for final stage filtration of the wash media.
  • Custom designed parts carrier and chamber per customer specifications.
  • 1500 watt, 25kw or 40kw ultrasonic push-pull transducers and generators.
  • Heated de-ionized (D.I.) water spray rinse for spot free cleaning and drying on critical path cleaning applications. Includes additional spray bar, D.I. heating reservoir and controls.
  • Customer specified operator interface.
  • Automatic water make-up for wash and rinse reservoir.
  • Coalescing of wash solution to remove free floating oils.
  • Pressure differential switches to indicate dirty filters in both the wash and rinse filtration circuits. 
  • Many other special accommodations to meet customer specifications.
