New Czech Republic Location
Extrude Hone now has its own branch office in the Czech Republic
The Extrude Hone Group continues to expand. In January 2007, Extrude Hone opened a new workshop facility in the Czech Republic, where it will offer subcontract deburring services for automotive components and other branches of industry.

Erkheim - February 2007: The Extrude Hone Group, world leader in the manufacture of electrolytic and thermal deburring systems as well as abrasive flow systems, have established a new branch office in the Czech Republic. From a purely legal perspective, Extrude Hone Czech s.r.o. was first registered on 16 October 2006. The company has its headquarters in the Rícany-Jažlovice Industrial Zone, at a location close to Prague and also the Prague-Brünn motorway. This facility provides 800 m2 of space for the new job shop.

Being close to the customer is our priority
Since January 2007, thermal deburring (TEM process) has been carried out on a subcontract basis at the new headquarters. Jirí Prokop, manager of the new branch office: “Extrude Hone considers itself not only a machine building company, but also a subcontractor. For this reason we want to be as close as possible to our customers. It is precisely the subcontract market which requires fast response and close proximity to the facilities.” At present it is predominantly components for the automotive industry and hydraulics parts which are being deburred in Jažlovice. In the process of thermal deburring, a mixture of oxygen and natural gas is briefly ignited in a deburring chamber, resulting in completely reliable internal and external burr removal in a fraction of a second.

It is planned that in the future this new facility will also process sophisticated components by expanding the range of processes to include AFM (abrasive flow machining) and ECM
(electrolytic deburring).

Subcontract Deburring – the options
Extrude Hone subcontract services are particularly appropriate for companies that are coming to the Extrude Hone deburring technologies for the first time and want to understand the quality level achievable. When machine purchase is economically difficult to justify, or a flexible and rapid solution is required for pre-production components, using subcontract
services represents an economical alternative to in-house production.
