A very precise and economical method of smoothing and polishing internal surfaces and producing controlled radii. AFM is particularly useful for difficult to reach internal passages, bends, cavities, and edges.
The Extrude Hone Abrasive Flow Machining process uses a specially formulated, abrasive laden polymer, hydraulically forced over, or through areas that requires finishing. The unique properties of the polymer (called Media) permit it to flow through passages conforming to the shape that requires finishing.
Whether the surface finish is cast, machined or EDM’d, — Extrude Hone has the finishing solution to satisfy every need providing accuracy and precision in any volume.
