• Prepare and send sample parts that best represent the condition of production pieces that will be provided during the actual contract or production lots. If possible, please provide 4 or more sample parts.
• Trial parts will usually be subject to different parameters in order to optimize the process results. This optimization effort often requires over-processing of parts to establish process boundaries. Please notify us if your parts cannot be handled in this manner.
• Enclose part drawings that detail all geometry and illustrate the areas requiring Abrasive Flow Machining. Almost all parts that make it through the evaluation process; into process demonstration, will require tooling to contain the part during processing. Any print or sketch that describes the part, will be very useful for the tooling manufacture process. Also, indicate areas of special concern and important tolerances that should be considered. For quoting and evaluations, we prefer the drawing be provided in .pdf file format if possible.
• Application trials and evaluations are at no cost* to you; however, it is essential that you take the time to provide the information requested on the attached “New Application Information Sheet”. This information exchange will remain strictly confidential and will not be shared with anyone outside the technical group at Extrude Hone Corporation.
