Extrude Hone is participating in MECSPE to showcase how Automated Deburring can benefit the manufacturing industry. At the Extrude Hone booth, you can explore top-notch Deburring techniques, including Thermal, Electrochemical, and Abrasive Flow machining, offering exceptional deburring capabilities.

What is MECSPE ?

MECSPE, for “MECCANICA SPECIALIZZATA”, is a significant event showcasing three key areas: training, digitization, and sustainability. Spread across 13 halls, the event will focus on technological innovations in the industrial process field.

Over 2,000 exhibitors worldwide will attend MECSPE in Bologna to tackle today’s manufacturing challenges.

This 22nd edition will emphasize training for companies to help them stay competitive. According to MECSPE’s communication, the industry needs more labor resources for many vital profiles.

MECSPE says,” The mismatch between the needs of companies and market supply reaches 60.3 percent and increases further (touching 65.5 percent) in the case of ITS graduates. This percentage peaks in the case of specialized technicians in the mechanical area (74.3 percent).”

Extrude Hone solutions for industry at the MECSPE.

Extrude Hone operates in a unique market. The main problem in the industry is a shortage of skilled workers. Extrude Hone has found many ways to address this issue:

  • Our technology allows us to do difficult or impossible manual tasks with machines, increasing productivity and overcoming labor shortages.
  • Secondly, we have implemented automation capabilities within our technologies to increase productivity further.
  • Finally, we have focused on the critical human factor.

In our manufacturing plants, we have developed internship programs, involving apprentices at different levels of study, to help young people prepare for their entry as professionals into the world of manufacturing.

Our action addresses our and customers’ needs by ensuring they find people knowledgeable about our finishing and deburring processes in the market.

Moreover, we offer on-demand engineering and production capabilities training for our customers to improve general technology awareness or master a specific process.

Extrude Hone will be exhibiting at the MECSPE in Pad 14 Booth A19. Andrea Sordelli, Regional Sales Manager for Italy, Portugal, and Spain, and Gianpaolo Torriani, Technical Service Engineer for Italy, will be there.

Thermal deburring (TEM):

Discover how to vaporize quickly and automatically burrs using thermal deburring with a T-Series machine.

Thermal deburring is a reliable method for the fluidic industry. It removes burrs from manifolds, valves, and connectors, leaving them clean with no burrs or particles.

This process is flexible and accessible, making it ideal for various applications, from large batches of small bulk parts to one-meter-long shafts, with multiple variations.

Electrochemical Machining:

We offer Electrochemical Machining (ECM) to achieve selective deburring at high productivity levels.

Our solutions have been field-proven in the automotive, aerospace, fluidics, and energy industries. It is possible to combine deburring with a one-step shaping and polishing operation.

With ECM, you can achieve superior productivity by integrating it smoothly into a fully automated line.

ECM goes beyond the Static Method and comes with Dynamic ECM; a perfect illustration is the ECM rifling. But in some situations, ECM Dynamic could also become ECM drilling in unthinkable areas.

Abrasive Flow Machining (AFM):

If you have smooth polishing, micro-deburring, or edge rounding requirements, Abrasive Flow Machining (AFM) can meet them.

AFM provides a surface enhancement of ten times compared to the incoming roughness. AFM applies across various industries, from Medical to Aerospace, from Energy to F1.

If you want to replace manual polishing or polish intricate AM manifolds in out-of-sight areas, AFM might be the answer.
